It's never too late

Now that three months have passed since Gracie's third birthday, I thought I would finally post those pictures today!  It's never too late--right!

Gracie turned 3 on May 14th.  We celebrated on Sunday, May12th, which was Mother's Day.

Christopher Robin stayed up late with me and helped decorate for her special day.  Here you see him dreaming about how excited she was going to be when she woke up and saw all her presents and piñata-which he filled for her.

Here is what he helped me do.

The next morning she WAS thrilled!!

But I am not sure who was more excited-Jace or Grace.

The present she had wanted most was a pink doctor kit.  And fisher-price makes one!!  So she got it! Here she is examining the shot needle.

She also received a cute set of lip gloss --hoping to keep her out of my makeup.

Jace applied it for her--like any attentive brother would do.

He was just so excited for her.  Here he is waving his arms with excitement as she put it on herself.  It was so cute. He tries so hard to make everything special.

After church we had a little party with  the Ericksons.  It consisted of lunch and hitting the piñata.

This was their first piñata and they loved it. That is why they wanted another one for our 4th of July party.

It was hard to break!

But they kept at it.

Here is cute little Lucy Erickson having a turn with the stick.

And here is Ammon giving it some nice whacks! Ammon was Jace's first friend when we moved here!

They finally got it opened and divided up the loot!

Here is Gracie's adorable cake!  Why would I ever make one again when Walmart does such a great job??

Jace and I kept it hidden in the fridge, so Gracie was surprised and thrilled when she saw it.  I love the look on her face!

Such a perfect pink cake for my little darlin'!

This girl has strong lungs and had no problem blowing out those candles!

She had two more presents to open.  She wasn't spoiled at all.  This one was a play dough ice cream shop and it hasn't been a mess in my kitchen at all since she got it!

And her other most requested gift was a bike helmut.  She wanted one like Jace!

The Dr cut the cake with dental floss--of course!  It has many uses I have learned over the years.

That evening I collapsed with a migraine, I had had one all day, and Ryan took the kids up to the high school to ride their bikes. Here is little Miss Rue in her new helmet.  She thought she was hot stuff!!

And this picture is of Jace riding his bike without training wheels for the first time!!  He was so proud!!  He had been way overdue for Ryan to take them off--but we had had a hard Spring with me throwing up for 2 months.  So when Ryan finally got a chance to take them off--he said Christopher Robin took off and never looked back!

And last, but not least, here are some head shots Ryan took of our little darling on her special day!

We think she is just a beauty.

She has endless energy and loves life.

And she is full of the dickens!

We are so blessed to have this girl in our family!
