Kjersti Jill gets baptized--Finally!!!

Kjersti Jill turned 8 on November 6th!  But, she wasn't able to get baptized until Feb. 5th.  We had family illness and December commitments with music that made it impossible to make it happen sooner.  She got baptized with her cousin McKenna Swigert.  It was a special day.

She was baptized and confirmed by her father.

Her amazing Aunt Nicole did her hair in a braid bun.

Bathroom after changing into the white jumpsuit---its really happening!!  She was nervous and excited!

During the program she played a violin solo--I'm trying to be Like Jesus.  It was beautiful and sweet.

The dress and shoes were a big deal.  We found this beautiful dress at Dillards last summer--and have saved it for months for this very special day.

We held the baptism in St George. So many of her Aunts and Uncles and cousins came to support her and many were able to watch via Zoom.  I'm so grateful she made the choice to make a covenant with God-- to follow the example of Jesus Christ,  to keep his commandments and always remember him.   I know that  as she keeps her baptismal covenant, she will be blessed throughout her life with peace,  comfort in times of trial, and lasting joy.  I love her so deeply.

Kjersti said what she remembers most about her baptism day was the happiness and warmth she felt inside. And the yummy food she ate at the luncheon afterwards.

My sweet Sister-in law Gina, made my grandma Blakes lemon tarts and brought them to the luncheon. So touching--since both my parents had to watch from heaven.

Here's a copy of the program--so I can remember forever. Jace and Gracie got to be the witnesses to the baptism, and it does say that she played I feel My Saviors love--but it was actually I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus.
