A bridge

Look at this "really neat" bridge that Christopher Robin helped his Dad build last night!

It was for his semi- truck.  It needed a bridge to drive under.

So after they spent a good while building this work of art, Christopher Robin carefully drove his truck underneath
being careful not to knock it down.

But then he just couldn't resist the temptation to

tear it all down!

Note to self

Gracie thinks she has died and gone to heaven because we have a baby at our house!

She is totally in love and infatuated

with my friend's cute little baby.

Christopher Robin, who has also been baby hungry for months, keeps telling me how much he loves this cute baby!

I don't get nervous until the Dr. comes to me and tells me he is baby hungry too.  So note to self: It is so much easier to borrow a baby than to have one of your own!

Weekend crazies

Our weekend included a trip to the mall on Saturday.  While I did some returns, the kids played with Ryan at the carousel and play area.  Then we rushed home so that I could get to a baby shower.  Sunday, Ryan got a new church calling.  He now works in the nursery with me.  It was our first week together and it was crazy.   We have 11 kids in our class. We have always wanted a calling together, so this is going to be really fun, except on the weekends he works which will be 40-50% of the time!

On Sunday evening we watched the Superbowl.  In case you didn't know, I love the Superbowl.  Weird for me, I know.  But I have been hooked for years.  Go Giants!

And this morning I was up by 7:25AM because I started a full time job today.  I am tending my friend's 2 month old baby from 8AM to 5PM Mon -Fri.  I will be doing this until I go to Utah in April.

Crazy!

Hitting people

Since Jace was a little bear cub he has been playing "hitting people" with his Dad.  He named the game himself when he was about 3 years old. All I can say is: that is what boys do!  My boys spend hours playing it, and they have so much fun.

And now my little Darlin' LOVES to get in on the action too.

The Dr. has a brown belt in karate. Pretty cool huh?  It makes him all the more hot if you ask me!

Tonight, Christopher Robin was practicing his punching and kicking.

The Dr. showed him how to hit someone right in the neck.

So Jace did what he had been taught and

punched Ryan right to the ground.

Good job my little bear cub!

Savoring

Tonight after dinner Ryan ran a warm bath for the kids.

While they were bathing, I pulled a tray of hot chocolate chip cookies from the oven. Ryan then fed them to himself

and his kids.

While I enjoyed the comfy seat in the bathroom

we read aloud, "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".

In the warmth of the steamy bathroom, we savored the last day of January together.

Introducing....

.....Mr. and Mrs. Jace Swigert.

After Jace and Grace had been playing in their room for awhile last evening, Jace came rolling Gracie into the living room to declare to Ryan and myself that they had gotten married.

The honeymoon was wonderful. He gave her rides in the laundry basket

and she did the same.

They joked and laughed with each other and

 gazed into each others eyes.

But the honeymoon ended when Grace reached over

and pulled out her husband's hair.

And Christopher Robin thought, "What have I done?????"

But as you can see... They lived happily ever after!

The Dr. turns 33

Sunday evening, Ryan's siblings called him to wish him a Happy Birthday.

The Dr. turned 33 yesterday!  We did most of our celebrating on Saturday.  He was hoping to find a pair of jeans that were not from the Goodwill. His first in 5 years! We went to every store in our mall that sells jeans and finally had some luck at Dillards.

After our mall outing we spent the evening at home with the Ericksons.  We ate pizza and watched a movie.  It was a wonderful weekend!
